Accounting - Continuing Education
Reaching Higher
Graduates of the Accounting Specialist Program at SCIT may continue toward earning either an Associate of Arts Degree in Business Administration (AABA) or a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting (BSA). Both degree programs are fully accredited by ACCSCT.
Why Continue?
The Advantages of SCIT’s Associates and Bachelor Degree Programs:
- Persons holding an Accounting Degree may be more competitive in the job market: more job opportunities = higher earning and career potential.
- The AABA and BSA programs meet the same high standards of traditional BS and AA programs with the added benefit of accelerated courses. Earn a Bachelors Degree in less than 4 years.
- Degree courses are offered day or night.
- The Accounting Specialist courses credits are transferrable to the AABA and BSA Degree Programs
- The cost of the AABA and BSA programs may be affordable compared to many other similar degree programs in other colleges and universities.
- More accounting positions are beginning to require a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting due to the competitive nature of the field.
What Can I do with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting?
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from SCIT may offer you career opportunities beyond the clerical accounting fields such as analyst, auditing, financial planning, and banking. These careers pay well and faster-than-average growth in the accounting field is expected due to an increase in the number of businesses, changing financial laws and regulations, and greater scrutiny of company finances.
