SCIT's Electronic Engineering Degree Program introduces students to the applications of electronic systems within a variety of industries. Courses concentrate on industrial electronics, software applications, biomedical electronics, and electronics system design by building on the foundations of both digital and analog electronics. The program aims to provide students with a diverse background in electronics engineering so that they may begin careers in a wide range of fields, from industrial systems to medical electronic devices.
Degree Title: Bachelor of Science Electronic Engineering
Credits: 187 Units
Students begin by building a strong engineering foundation from the basics. Principles of electricity, digital and analog concepts along with a solid mathematical base will be the building blocks for a successful understanding of electronics engineering. The program is designed to start from the ground up.
Engineering is an applied science, key term: Applied. Theoretical concepts discussed in lecture are cemented through application based labs to show students the practical elements of electronics theory. Due to a significant portion of the program containing lab work, students will be working in a variety of SCIT's instructional lab facilities, from the Biomedical Lab to the Robotics & Automation Lab.
All senior electronic engineering students participate in a full scale, hand-on design project course.
