Electrician Program Overview

SCIT's General Electrician Program is State of California approved for the entire general electrician curriculum. Theory and practical application to install, repair, alter and maintain residential, commercial and industrial electrical systems are emphasized through hands-on instruction in SCIT's Electrical and PLC labs.

Program Length: 7 Months
Course Times: Morning & Evening Courses Available (M-Th)
Diploma Title: General Electrician
Credits: 57.5

Additional Program Highlights

Solar Installation Seminars: Available to all SCIT Electrician Students

  • California Approved "Whole General Electrician" Curriculum
  • Financial Aid Available for those who qualify
  • Industry Experienced Faculty
  • Heavy Hands-on Training
  • Industry Simulating Lab Facilities

Degree Opportunities

Graduates of the Electrician program may be able to pursue an accelerated Electrical Engineering Degree (BSEE) at SCIT. A BSEE degree may reduce the amount of work experience that the State of California requires for those seeking to take the C-10 Electrical Contractor Licensing exam. Degree courses are offered in the evening to provide flexibility for students who work during the day.
