Campus Parking

Parking is available to students in the parking structure next to the main campus building.

AM Students - AM Students may either park in the structure by using a parking card issued by SCIT or by paying the hourly rates posted inside the parking structure. Students must park in the upper levels of the structure.

PM Students - PM students may park in the parking structure for free on weekday evenings anytime after 6pm. (Parking tickets are no longer collected after 6 pm). Students must park on the upper levels of the structure.

Guest Parking - Guests and visitors are welcome to park in the parking structure. The hourly parking rates are posted inside the structure. If prior arrangements are made by contacting the college, guests may have their parking tickets validated and park in the structure free of charge.

Student Parking Cards (AM Students)

Parking cards allow students to enter the parking structure and not have to pay the regular hourly rates. Due to the limited number of parking cards, only General Electrician students, students enrolled in a degree program, and sponsored students (WIA and TRA) are eligible to apply for a parking card. Students given an SCIT scholarship are not eligible to receive parking cards unless they are sponsored students (WIA and TRA). In order to receive a parking card, eligible students must:

  1. Contact the Student Services Office and fill out a parking application form.
  2. Pay a deposit of $25 to the Registrar's Office if approved to receive a parking card.

Student parking cards are active for the duration of the students' enrollment at SCIT. Students must return their parking card on the day of their last exam in order to have their $25 deposit returned. If student do not return their cards on the day of their last exam, the card will be deactivated and the student will loose their $25 deposit. No Excuses.

Carpool

Whether you are a student, faculty or staff member, carpooling can save you time and money. You save time when you share the ride in freeway carpool lanes. By sharing the cost of a gas and other car-related expenses, you save money. Find carpool partners who live near you and commute similar hours by speaking with your fellow classmates.
