Table Definitions
- Date Range of Students Beginning Program The date range in which the population of students reported began the respective program. Diploma programs report students who started over a 12-month period; bachelor's degree programs report an earlier 12-month period to allow time for students in these longer programs to complete.
- Students Available for Graduation The total student population who began the program in the date range (adjusted for students who transferred into or out of the program) and who did not withdraw from the program due to any of the following circumstances: deployment in active military duty, incarceration, an onset of a medical condition, or death. This sum is the total program population base for calculation of the Completion Rate.
- Graduates The number of Students Available for Graduation who completed the program within 150% of the program's published length.
- Completion Rate The percentage of Students Available for Graduation who completed the program (Graduates divided by Students Available for Graduation).
- Graduates Available for Employment The total number of graduates who did not have any of the following circumstances preventing them from pursuing employment: furthering their education, deployment in active military duty, incarceration, an onset of a medical condition, or death. This sum is the total program population base for calculation of the Employment Rate.
- Graduates Employed in Field The number of Graduates Available for Employment who obtained employment related to their field of study and for whom the school obtained documentation verifying their employment.
- Employment Rate The percentage of Graduates Available for Employment who were employed in their field (Graduates Employed in Field divided by Graduates Available for Employment). HEERF Grant Information
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act established the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) to provide emergency financial aid grants (HEERF Grants) to eligible students impacted by the COVID-19 situation. The Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 (CRRSAA) authorizes additional emergency financial aid grants to be added to the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF II). SCIT is participating in these programs to provide financial relief to eligible students who were unexpectedly transitioned to online instruction and who may have experienced other financial hardships resulting from the COVID-19 situation. SCIT students who are eligible and qualify to receive an HEERF grant, which is money that does not need to be paid back, will receive the grant in the form of a check (or multiple checks) mailed to the student directly. Please visit the HEERF Grant Information Site for more details about the method and manner by which HEERF Grants are awarded to students, including statistics about the awarded amounts.
